i went and saw fireworks on saturday... i think. fireworks used to make me so happy and excited. i'm afraid my years of innocence are over though. the fireworks just depressed me. First of all they are a symblism of war, and we all know how much I like war (eh-em) and second of all they have got to pollute like crazy, there's tons of smoke plus all the little plastic and cardboard things and people watching the fireworks tend to litter a lot. and third all the money that is being spent on these fireworks which just pollute in the first place could be spent on doing something GOOD for the environment! wouldn't that be a better way of celebrating independance day?? so i didn't really enjoy the fireworks since i was busy thinking all these thoughts, besides i couldn't help thinking about the damage to my eardrums! i don't want to be deaf when i'm old!

yes, i was a little held back by these thoughts. so i could not have that much fun by the vibrant colors, bursting in the sky.

OMG, I thought I was the only one! I'm so glad someone else feels this way...I thought it was just me, lol. We always go to the fireworks set off on the maumee river, and up until last year i really enjoyed them. But now, all i can think about is all the animals we're scaring witless with the big booms. They're still pretty, but i can't help but cringe every single time one goes off...
